Cafe Press Labor Day Sale and my mugs n stuff

Totally random affiliate plugging commences ... followed by an advert for my own products on CafePress. :)

Labor Day at CafePress - Code: KICKBACK

(This code didn't work for me - I don't know if it's because I'm in the UK or that shop-owners already get some built-in reductions ... it's probably because of the latter)

Randoms

In the corner of the room are some sacks filled with rotting meat and electrum coins.

Mm meat...

Okay, being random tonight.  Trying to finish laying out Encounter Lairs 2 "Templar Chapel" - but it may have to wait one more day.

I've just been looking at the exquisite Jeff Easley Art site.  No more evidence is required that he is still a god amongst men.  (Buy the prints on Ebay!)

I keep meaning to do a short profile here on the Escape Velocity Gaming company ( products of DriveThru ) but now is not the right moment.

Fun reads:
- I'm dipping in and out of Ruins & Ronin (Lulu softcover) -plus the essential Ninja class!  I'm also still utterly charmed by the 2d6 simplicity and revisionist originality of EpĂ©es & Sorcelerie (Lulu)

Random, but inspirational, print-out I'm carrying around for coffee break reading:
Pages from the "Round Robin" Q+A of Savage World licensee/publishers (Savage Insider Issue 1)  in which both large and small publishers are asked about methods, their products, work ethics and gaming preferences.  I say it's inspirational because it's really refreshing to see how both the little guys and big corps survive alongside each other in the online publishing industry, despite anxieties and run-away-enthusiasms. :)

Recently made an apron design on CafePress.  I know, I know. Like CafePress needs more designs.

Bought some more Fighting Fantasy game books from a charity shop today.  It's a disease, y'know.

There was something else ... something crawling across my mind's eye, a niggling sensation, uncomfortable, slightly displaced.

Time for bed, perhaps.

...rotting meat...

How do they get those mugs through the printer?

I seriously need a manager! It's the middle of the night (UK its-dark GMT time).  I've promised several people reviews.  I've promised myself and others the completion of two floor plan products.  And what am I doing?  I'm trying to fill the world with more junk, through CafePress!

Not quite satisfied with my dice mugs on Deviant Art, I have turned to CafePress (Cafepress, Cafe Press ?) , who at least mock up an actual graphic of the product (which is more than DA seem to be able to do).

My art lends itself well
to baby bibs. Is this
a good thing?
The expression "sell-out" doesn't even begin to cover it... but I refuse to feel guilty unless I actually start selling. ;)  Anyhow, it's a sort of 3-D home publishing.   You have to try it at least once.  I just didn't think I'd be so taken by putting a design on a baby's bib:

On a more RPG related note, I've been really taken in by all of the different demonstrations of iPads and tablet computers at the gaming table, so maybe I can make the iPad look more at home amongst the dice and scenarios:

(Buy the case now,
the iPad will surely follow.)

On a more practical and affordable note, these journals come with a choice of plain, lined, "task sheet" or dotted paper.  The latter would be perfect for mapping during a gaming session.  I'm definitely ordering a few for myself.

Okay, the prices are pretty high.  I've added mere pennies to the Cafepress base price.  The good news is that sometimes Cafepress run promotions - For example: this week the code is "SPRING2011" for a 15% reduction on prices for the next 7 days.  (Untested - might only work in one continent region)
